Final Fantasy XVI release is coming close and will be coming to PS5 on June 22, 2023. The title will give a darker turn to the franchise and will feature a complex tale of revenge, power struggles, and unavoidable tragedy, and players just can't wait to play the game.
In addition to this, whether the game is coming to PC or not has been a mystery question for everyone, and the answer has been oscillating between Yes and No. However, Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy XVI, has given the latest update regarding its PC version, and here's everything you need to know about it.
Is Final Fantasy XVI Coming to PC?
The short answer is Yes, Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC; however, the game will be PS5 exclusive for the first six months. That said, it doesn't mean that it will release on PC after the six-month exclusivity period is over. As Naoki Yoshida said in PlayStation Japanese blog," I will make it clear: the PC version will not come out in half a year."
He further explained the reason behind this is that they have spent a lot of time and money in optimizing the game for the PS5 platform, and while he definitely wants to release it on PC, they won't be able to optimize it for the platform in half a year. However, he clarified again, "I would like to release it eventually, and I think I will, but I am not at the stage where I can say when."
Thus, to sum up, Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PC; but we don't have any release window or date about it.
